Moment of Zen in Rampur?

by

(Audrey) I’ve been 24 hours without internet access and am barely getting through now. I’m shocked that some people find being out of contact with the modern world like this to be a refreshing break, invigorating and what not. I would describe it with one word: boring.

I’m in Rampur, a town in U.P. that has approximately one draw for outsiders: The Raza Library, one of the largest storehouses of Indo-Islamic knowledge on the subcontinent. Logically I’m here for a few days doing research. More detailed updates will likely have to wait until I have solid internet access again, but at least I’ve got beauty to enjoy during the non-internet filled hours. Here is a shot of the library with it’s stunningly well-maintained gardens—

If my library looked like that I’d take any job I could to work there. Wow.
